  13. I have been using Niresh12495-OSX-10.8-USB on a 16gb usb. I can't get arch=-386 busratio=20 to run gets the error I posted above. I was reading that the i3 processor busratio is 17. Is that right?

If I run -v verbose halts at this line "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin: :start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagment: timed out

  15. Hi Rohit. I'm currently trying to do this on my own laptop. I'm stuck at the spinning wheel too. I'm actually using the i5 version so I don't know if I need to try booting with any other code instead of those ones already posted.

  16. someone try this and tell me if boots,

    1. Do not select any graphics kext
    2. Disable intel graphics
(as we have Intel GMA x4500, and this is not supported)
    3. Untick graphics enabler

  17. Someone figured out the problem for me! When you install it if you get the "ACPI_SMC_PlatformPlugin: :start - waitForService(resourceMatching(AppleIntelCPUPowerManagment: timed out" error message, it means the installation install the apple power mangement utility. What was done was the drivers were rolled back to linux version. I didn't see how it was done but I'll post more about it in a bit! I have it running with a tonne of stuff not working.

  18. Dear Rohit,

I tried OS X 10.7 in my Dell Inspiron N5010 like the same way what you post.
But I did not get the 9th option in your list. I did not find any hardware or any graphic option when I press customize bar. Then I continue the installation. It got installed successfully. And it restarted. but the same procedure is happening again. It started booting from the DVD and asking for the installation procedure again. Then I tried remove the DVD second time. But it is showing that " missing operating system ". I was having windows 8 also in another partition. but that also not booting.
    Please give me some advice
    Thanks and Regards
